A simple card template that works perfectly with the Mixed Media Florals Suite Collection.
The Mixed Media Florals Suite Collection is a great package! The Mixed Florals stamp set has no sentiments. The floral images are quite large and are so fun to color using blends, water color pencils or just leave them plain. The three ladybugs are great as they are each different and there are die cuts for them! You receive two dies for each ladybug, so can cut six at once!
The Mixed Labels stamp set has a banner with some of the sentiments fitting into it and this has a die cut. There are also other decorative labels that fit around the sentiments and can also be used for layering. The one die that I have really enjoyed we use on the Thank You card and it’s a kind of hashtag design. It creates a great accent piece.
The Mixed Media Florals 12” X 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) has a great variety that can be mixed together with vibrant colors and also some black and white images. I’ve had a hard time to pick a favorite. This is a versatile set of papers I think you would love!
One item in this collection is the Plaster Painting 3D Embossing Folder. When I first saw it I new I needed it in my collection. It creates this look of paint strokes in a raised texture. Either side can be used for your creations. A little peeks through on the first card I made.
I have once again used Secret Sea, our new dark blue/black ink, for the sentiments on each card. It stamps so well!
Are you ready to be inspired and see Card Template #6?

The template is a card base of 5 ½” X 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼. This month I wanted a simple design that could be used with any DSP or stamps and I believe this Template can deliver on that. I also wanted to stick with one Suite of products. It was fun to use many of the elements. I hope you enjoy these cards!
Card Example #1: For a Great Friend card
The card base is Basic White Cardstock (8 ½” X 5 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”). I embossed the 3 ½” X 3 ¾” piece of Balmy Blue cardstock with the Plaster Painting 3D Embossing Folder and then adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card base at an angle to the left about 1” from the top left of the card base.

I cut a piece of DSP from the Mixed Media Florals DSP measuring 3″ X 3 ½” and glued it to a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock measuring 3 ¼” X 3 ¾”. This was then glued on top of the Embossed piece and tilted the opposite direction closer to the top of the card base.
I stamped For a Great Friend from the Mixed Labels stamp set on Basic White Cardstock in Secret Sea ink and cut this out with Mixed Labels Dies. I used another Mixed Labels Die cut in Poppy Parade for a lovely matting around the sentiment. This was attached to the card with Dimensionals at the bottom right of the card overlapping the other two pieces.
I added a bow from the Black & Very Vanilla Check Ribbon and used a glue dot to adhere it by the sentiment. The Low-Profile Dots come in two colours and I chose the gold ones and placed three in the bottom half of the card.
A lovely cheery card to encourage a special friend, don’t you agree?
Card Example #2: Happy Anniversary card
With the summer upon us it seems like there are many anniversaries being celebrated by friends and family. A special occasion to celebrate!

This card is also a Basic White cardstock base (8 ½” X 5 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”).
The black and white small flowered DSP Mixed Media Florals from the Mixed Media Florals Suite Collection measures 3 ½” X 3 ¾” and is adhered to the card base tilted to the right. A water colour striped piece of DSP Mixed Media Florals measuring 3″ X 3 ½” is adhered to Petal Pink cardstock measuring 3 ¼” X 3 ¾”, and then this is glued to the black and white DSP tilted the other direction.
I stamped the tulip from Mixed Florals on Basic White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used Blends to colour them: Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green for the leaves and stems. For the tulips I used Berry Burst and the little flowers Bubble Bath. The Blends are so relaxing to work with! This piece was adhered to the card front with Dimensionals.
I attached a double bow with the Linen Thread and placed it just under the middle Tulip with a Glue Dot. I stamped the Banner in Secret Sea ink and then added the Happy Anniversary in the middle. It was die cut with the Label from Mixed Label Dies. I added a Dimensional to each side of the Label and glue in the middle and this was attached near the bottom of the leaves. Lastly, I put three of the pink Low-Profile Dots to complete the card.
A design to celebrate an Anniversary or any occasion!
Card Example #3: Thank You card
We can always use Thank You cards to express our gratitude to others. And you never know how much this would bless the one receiving it! Let’s practise being the one who returned to give thanks!

I started this card by cutting a piece of Secret Sea cardstock 3 ½” X 3 ¾” and adhered it to the card base of Basic White (8 ½” X 5 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”) tilted to the right. I cut the water colour blue background piece of DSP from the Mixed Media Florals and glued it on top of the Secret Sea cardstock and tilted it to the left.
I stamped the daisy/cornflower stamp and the three ladybugs onto a piece of Basic White cardstock in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then used blends to color them. I used Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Old Olive, Balmy Blue and Real Red. These were cut using the Mixed Medial Florals dies.
I also stamped in Secret Sea on a scrap of Basic White the Thank You sentiment and cut it with the Mixed Media Labels die from the Mixed Media Florals Suite Collection. At the same time, I cut the hashtag die from the Mixed Media Labels die in Daffodil Delight Cardstock.
The flowers were added to the card with Dimensionals and the ladybugs were glued around the flower. I attached the hashtag to the bottom of the sentiment with a bit of glue and then added Dimensionals to add these two elements to the right of the flower at the bottom of the card. I added two gold Low-Profile Dots to finish the card.
This is a cheery and bright Thank you card! I plan on making more of these.
