Create a variety of cards with your stamp set collection, using the watercolour technique with card template #2.
In my collection of stamps there are a few sets that I haven’t inked up yet or at least not used too often. I wanted to change that with at least a couple of them for you!
The Annual Catalogue (until 30 April 2025) has some techniques featured in the back pages. They show stamps and various tools to make the cards beautiful and even more stunning. One of the techniques is Watercolour, found on page 118 and 119.
Oh, before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s take a look at the Card Template 2:

Card #1 using the Penciled Pear stamp set with the watercolour technique

I started with the Penciled Pear stamp set. I stamped the single pear onto Basic White Cardstock with Stazon Black ink. I used a Water Painter and ink from my stamp pads. I took a few blocks and stamped them into the ink to create an ink spot on the block, added a little water and started to paint the pear using the colors from the Annual catalogue as a guide.
Once this dried, I then masked the pear and leaf. I inked up one of the stamps from the Elements of Text to have some writing go around the pear. I love the result of this! I then cut it out with a Spotlight on Nature Die.
To assemble the card, I used a Basic White Card stock (8 ½ X 5 ½ and scored at 4 ¼). I cut a piece of DSP 2 X 5 ½ and one 2 ¼ X 3 ¾ from Serene Love DSP. These were adhered to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The Pear was attached on top with dimensionals. In the bottom right hand corner, I stamped the sentiment “Just a little note” from the Penciled Pear set in Memento Black ink. To add a bit of sparkle I added three gems from the 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems. On the inside bottom of the card, I stamped the line of four pears in Lemon Lime Twist ink.
Card #2 using Flowers from Penciled Pear stamp set

For the second card, I used the Flowers from the Penciled Pear stamp set inked with Memento Ink and the coloured it in with blends. I stamped the sentiment “it’s your day” with Memento Ink and then I cut these out with Stylish Shapes Dies.
The DSP on the left side is from the Bloom Impressions (Sale-a-bration). The cardstock under the flower focal point is Bubble Bath. I added some Black & Very Vanilla Gingham ribbon before adhering the focal point. This was raised with dimensionals as well as the sentiment. I added three Antique Pearls to finish off the card.
Card #3 using Sale-A-Bration and Last Chance Products

For example number three, I used all Sale-bration products (free stuff), except the labels and sentiment. Both die-cut labels are from Greetings of the Season (on Last Chance sale). I love this set of dies.
The sentiment is from a Paper Pumpkin stamp set. The DSP on this card is from the Toadstool Gardens, the focal point is stamped using the Pick A Season Stamp set – a great building set that can be used all year long and for many occasions. The bling is Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins and a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.
This is a fun card template that can be used with so many different stamp sets.
I hope that this has given you some ideas and you can’t wait to use your products.
If I had to pick a favourite, I think I would choose the Just a Little Note with the pear card. I love how It came together. Which one would you choose? Leave me a comment!
