Let’s start something new this year using our first Card Template to design three different handmade cards.
May these be a great inspiration to your creativity. Take a look at how I used Card Template #1 to create three different cards using Stampin’ Up! With You In Mind, Storybook Friends & Coffee with Friends Stamp Sets.
Card #1 using With You In Mind stamp set
The With You in Mind Stamp set was the starting point for this card. I used the Best Wishes and the cupcake stamped on Basic White card stock. I stamped Best wishes in Granny Apple Green ink and the cupcake using the Stampin’ Write markers Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green. I used a 2 ¼“ circle punch to cut out the Best Wishes and a 1 1/8“ Circle die from Unbounded Love.
The four different designer papers are from the Toadstool Garden Designer Series Paper. This paper is bursting with exciting colour combinations and can be yours FREE with a $75 qualifying order during Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-A-Bration promotion. To add some sparkle to the card I added three gems from the Low-Profile Dots and one Tiny Bee Trinket. This is a fun and bright card for any occasion.
Card #2 using Storybook Moments Suite stamp set
The Storybook Moments Suite has been such great fun to play with and create different cards and other projects with. I included this in my pre-order before the mini catalogue was launched January 7th. It is full of great potential. There is also now an extra sticker sheet and two-toned coloured cardstock that coordinates with this suite found online.
For the second card I used three pieces of designer series paper from the Storybook Moments 12X12 DSP and one piece from the Timeless Plaid 6X6 DSP. I cut the arched die-cut frame in Mossy Meadow and Basic White cardstock. I stamped “Hello Friend” from the Storybook Friends stamp set in Mossy Meadow on the top of the white part. This was attached onto the top of the DSP with the frame outline of Mossy Meadow. I chose a die-cut from the Storybook Moments DSP die-cuts of a squirrel with a bonnet, rake and basket of veggies to be added with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the bottom right of the frame. The finishing touch I attached three of the new Antique Pearls. On the inside of the card I put a 1 X 5 ½ “ strip of the vegetable DSP on the right hand side of the card and stamped Thank you so very much in Mossy Meadow ink in the middle.
Card #3 using Coffee With Friends stamp set
Coffee with Friends has been in my collection a few months and I haven’t inked it up yet. I’m not a coffee drinker but loved the sentiments and scripts plus the artwork on this set. It’s a fun one to colour using Stampin’ Blends. I first chose three DSP from the Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper. This is bright and cheery pack of paper that can also be yours FREE with a $75 qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration, until the end of February.
I stamped the lady sitting on a step with a hot drink using Memento Black ink on Basic White Cardstock and coloring her with Stampin’ Blends. I also stamped Thinking of You with Memento Black ink. I then cut these two pieces with shapes from the Greetings of the Season label die-cuts. I used a piece of 4 1/8″ X 5 3/8″ Azure cardstock as a mat piece. After all the pieces were assembled on the card, I added three of the pink gems from the Regal Foiled adhesive-backed dots. With the Black Memento ink, I stamped Let’s Get Together Soon on the inside of the card.
