A Framed Art piece using Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Workshop Kit
What’s your favorite part of autumn? Crisp autumn days or remembering the bountiful blessings you have? It is a season to prepare for the coming of winter with preserving produce from gardens, trimming hedges, covering the patio furniture and cutting the grass one more time!
This year Stampin’ Up! has produced a fun scrapbooking workshop kit (#166502) along with a stamp set (#166500) called Autumn to Remember.
The kit contains designer paper, two-toned colored paper, stickers and some wooden embellishments. There also are instructions on how to create scrapbooking pages if you’ve never experienced this before or just want some fresh ideas. But all the supplies can also be used to make cards or other creations.
Autumn to Remember Inspired Framed Art Piece
I decided to make a framed art piece to share with you. I hope you are inspired to give this a try. Each element could also be used for making a card.

I chose from the designer series paper and the stamp set what elements I wanted to use. I cut a Basic Beige cardstock (#164511) to a square measuring 8” X 8”. I drew light pencil lines ½” in from the side and down the center from top to bottom and side to side. This helped with the placement of the pieces. I did remember to erase the lines when the project was finished!
From the designer series paper, I cut strips measuring 2” and cut three of them 4” in length. This was the two different trees, and the Cajun Craze piece. The brown plaid and the green flowery one I cut 2” X 1”. The paper that has the animals on I selected a piece that I could have the little deer on and cut it 2” square. From the same paper I cut out a little bird. The green square is 2” and from the old olive two toned paper. The stickers had some lovely word labels and also pictures. I used the yellow circle with the leaves and attached it to the green square. I also cut out a Basic White cardstock (#159276) 2” square.

Using the Autumn to Remember stamps (#166500) I selected the three trees and stamped them on the Basic White cardstock (#159276) 2” square in crushed curry, Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow. I used ink spots to get pretty good results. You could use daubers and the ink or also the Stampin’ Write Markers. This piece I used Pecan Pie ink (#161665) with a dauber to ink the edges. And adhered it to the Cajun Craze 4” x 2” designer paper piece.
The large maple leaf, and the two medium leaves I stamped on Basic White cardstock (#159276) in Crushed Curry (#147087), Mossy Meadow (#147111), Cajun Craze (#147085) and Old Olive (#147090) ink. I fuzzy cut each one. There were some leaves left over for another project.
On the Basic Beige cardstock (#164511) strip from cutting the paper to 8 X 8 I stamped the sentiment Bountiful Blessings (#166500) with Pecan Pie Ink (#161665) and cut it out with the die from Greetings of the Season (#164112). I placed the top plate over top of the end without the hole and stopped it about ¾ of the way. Then removed the die and flipped it lining it up and doing the same thing. This eliminated the hole in the die. You can do this for any die cut.
These are great dies as you can do it with a hole, without one, or with two! This is an amazing set with various shapes for tags or labels. It is sold as a bundle (#164113) with the Greetings of the Season Stamp set or you can purchase them separately (Dies alone #164112, Stamp set alone #164325).
With all the pieces ready, I assembled them on the Basic Beige cardstock. (#164511) When everything was adhered with Multi purpose Liquid glue (#110755), I added two pieces from the wooden embellishments, a little heart and a mushroom. I also stamped the small maple leaf and acorn in the two middle columns to add interest and tie things together. I used Early Espresso (#147114) and Cajun Craze (#147085) ink.
For the final touch I added three Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots (#163464), one of each. These colors went perfect with this framed art. I glued this piece onto an 11” X 11” Early Espresso Cardstock (#161715). This went into a frame that I purchased from our local Dollarama store.
