A landscape card template that offers a variety of options for those creative juices!

Card template #10 is in landscape layout but it could be switched around to portrait as well. This card has so many possibilities with where you place the banner, focal point, or you can even add a sentiment where every you choose.

The banner that runs across the width of the card can use cardstock or designer series paper, can be matted or left plain, and the size of the banner can also be shrunk or made larger.

The focal point of the square piece can also be angled or moved more to the centre. It could also be placed in the middle of the card and straight. There are so many possibilities with this template. And you can add a sentiment however you want.

In my three card examples, you can see three different layout options.

For each of the three cards, I used a Basic White thick card stock measuring 5 ½” X 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”. Colored cardstock could also be used for the card base.

Card Example #1: You Are a Ray of Sunshine – Everyday Arches

The card base is Basic White Cardstock (8 ½ X 5 ½ and scored at 4 ¼). The 1 ½ X 5 ½ strip is from the new Irresistible Designs 12 X 12 Specialty Paper. There are three patterns in this paper and I chose the lined pattern.

I used Blending Brushes and first used Lemon Lolly ink and then Darling Duckling, the Peach Pie and finished it off with Timid Tiger. I dabbed off a bit of color before adding it to the card piece. After all the colour was on and I was happy with it I used a tissue to wipe off the ink from the white lines. This is such a fun thing to do with this kind of paper! I attached this piece to the card going across and leaving about ¾” from the bottom of the card.

The squares were both cut from the Beautiful Bokeh 6X6 DSP. One in yellow for the mat and the other in a spotted peach/orange colour. Using Memento ink I stamped “You Are a Ray of Sunshine” and the birds from the Everyday Arches stamp set.

I glued these pieces together and then added them to the card at an angle with dimensionals. The final touch was to tap a Wink of Stella to a bone folder to give the card a few shiny splatters.

This card would brighten anyone’s day and let them know they are appreciated. I didn’t use the Everyday Arches Dies on this card but do in the next one! I am really glad that I purchased these dies. They are so fun to work with. And they coordinate so well with this stamp set and others too.

Card Example #2: Expressing Heartfelt Gratitude – Gathering Moments

This suite of products from Gathering Moments is so exquisite. The papers are bright and cheery with gold through them and the backsides are more subtle with Basic Beige, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso in various patterns. They coordinate so well together.

The stamp set has five sentiments that can be used throughout the year even though the colours are more autumn in the DSP. The images are distinctive. This is a wonderful Cling Stamp set and after this month (October 2025) Stampin’ Up will no longer be making red rubber stamps. Once they are all sold out, we will only have Photopolymer Stamps.

On a scrap Basic White cardstock, I stamped the leaves and acorn using Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Early Espresso ink. I used daubers to ink the stamps as this gave a better effect of the leaves detail than stamping directly to the ink pad. It’s fun to do a good number of each image and then die cut them out. These could also be fuzzy cut with good scissors.

Using the third smallest Everyday Arches die, I cut a piece of Basic White and then with Early Espresso ink stamped the sentiment “Expressing heartfelt gratitude” making sure it was closer to the straight edge of the die. I glued the two leaves to the left of the sentiment and the acorn on the bottom right corner. This was ready to attach to the card.

For the 1 ½” strip I used the green/gold striped DSP from Gathering Together 12X12 DSP and glued it to the cardbase of Basic White cardstock. I cut a 3” X 3” square from one of the leaves DSP and attached it to Cajun Craze cardstock measuring 3 ¼” X 3 ¼”. These were glued together and then glued onto the green/gold striped DSP towards the left side of the card.

The sentiment was then attached with dimensionals to the right of the card in the middle.

This is a lovely card that could be adapted for any occasion and could be used to express anything that we are thankful for! Does this card inspire you? Can you think of someone you’d like to share it with?

Card Example #3: Peace, Love & Joy – Peace on Earth Suite

This Peace on Earth suite was introduced a few months ago and I haven’t had lots of time to play with it. The stamp set is only sentiments but is a great one for many different occasions. It feels like right now we can all use more Peace, Love and Joy in our lives and so I was drawn to this set once again.

I started by stamping the Peace, Love & Joy in Secret Sea ink on the bottom right of the card (landscape). This Secret Sea ink is such a great colour for sentiments.

I then cut a piece of the Secret Set glitter paper from the Peaceful Garden 12X12 Glimmer Paper, ½” X 5 ½”. I adhered this just above the sentiment with glue. I cut a piece of Secret Sea Cardstock 1 ¾” X 5 ½” and a piece of the star designed paper from Peaceful Garden 12X12 DSP and adhered them together and then added it to the card leaving a bit of the glimmer paper showing.

With a square of Cloud Cover measuring 3 ¼” X 3 ¼” and a piece of DSP from Peaceful Garden 12 X 12 DSP glued on top these were then added to the card with dimensionals. From the Peace on Earth Dies I cut the two doves out with Basic White and glued them to the top of the DSP. A completed card!

These examples from card template #10 are each quick and easy and can be made with many different products.

I’m sure you have some items in your craft supplies that would work to make these cards. I didn’t add any ribbon, linen thread or gems, but you could always do that!
