The fun of using one Suite Collection to create cards from the same Card Template was a delight.
I could have kept on creating more cards with the Online Exclusive Botanical Textures Suite collection, but then you wouldn’t have received this message…and I didn’t want to keep you waiting longer!!
As Demonstrators we can preorder products before they are released to the public and we receive at least a 20% discount for all that we buy. This is a great reason in itself to join. When I saw the preorder for the Botanical Textures Suite Collection, I knew that I would enjoy each piece of the suite. The dies on their own are a must for rectangle shapes and beautiful borders in five different designs. This is definitely a keeper set!
The Stamp set Textured Notes is a distinctive set with leaves and wicker images. No dies to cut them out but they are easy to fuzzy cut. The sentiments are in a lovely script and ones I would choose often. This suite also includes a Corrugated Embossing Folder, soft white Ribbon, Neutral Matte Dotes and two sets of paper. I used only one set but have visions of how to use the other one too! Can you tell I had great fun with this suite?
Are you ready to dive into what I have for you?
Card Template 4

Card Example #1: A Little Note of Appreciation
The colors I chose for this card were Soft Seafoam and Garden Green. The card base is Basic White Cardstock (8 ½” X 5 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”). I adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card base a piece of Garden Green cardstock (4 1/8″ X 5 3/8″).

I cut a piece of Soft Seafoam cardstock to 4″ X 5 ¼” and put it at an angle to only about ½” on one side through the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. This creates a raised look on only one side of the cardstock.
I then stamped on the smooth part of the cardstock starting with the wicker pieces from the Textured Notes stamp set with Crumb Cake ink. If you want a lighter effect, you can ink and then stamp off on a scrap paper and then onto your card piece.
I chose the larger leaf and inked it in Garden Green and stamped it over the circled wicker and then stamped it again. I also used the same leaf and stamped it inside the card with second generation ink.
I wrapped the ribbon over the top of the corrugated embossing and made a bow. To keep it there I added a couple of glue dots. This piece can be glued onto the card front keeping a 1/8 border of the mat piece peeking around.
For the sentiment I stamped A little note of appreciation on basic white scrap in Garden Green ink and cut it with shortest die from Textured Notes dies. I adhered this with dimensionals. The Neutral Matte Dots come in four colours and I used the white ones. Fun to dot them around the leaves!
Card Example #2: You are Seriously the Best
This card is also a Basic White cardstock base (8 ½” X 5 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”). The mat is Mossy Meadow cardstock (4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″) and adhered to the cardbase.

I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and a piece from the Botanical Textures DSP each measuring 4″ X 5 ¼”. The DSP was glued to the Mossy Meadow mat. I cut the Basic White at an angle and then stamped it with the round wicker stamp from Textured Notes in Crumb Cake ink with 1st and 2nd generation stamping. I then ran this through the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. I glued this to the top of the DSP.
On some scrap Basic White cardstock, I stamped the two leaf stamps twice in Mossy Meadow and fuzzy cut them. Remember to move the paper and not your scissor and relax! The four leaves I arranged in the middle centre of the card and glued them down. I used some white linen thread, looping it and adhering it onto the leaves with a mini glue dot.
The “You are seriously the best” sentiment I stamped on a Basic White scrap in Mossy Meadow ink and then die cut it with the skinny long die from the Textured Notes Dies. This was attached with dimensionals.
I chose three of the Neutral Matte Dots in the tan colour. They really pop on the black of the DSP and brings the card together. Inside the card, bottom right-hand corner, I stamped the round wicker piece in Crumb Cake ink, 2nd generation and then stamped the small leaf inside it with Mossy Meadow ink, also 2nd generation. I love the results of this card.
Card Example #3: Thank You
This card also starts with a Basic White Card stock base (8 ½” X 5 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”). The Botanical Textures DSP is only black and white leaves or textured designs. I chose the DSP that had a white background and cut a piece 4 ¼” X 5 ½” to cover the front of the card base. Using a blending brush and the Pretty Peacock ink I added some color to this piece.

I then cut a piece of Pretty Peacock card stock (4″ X 5 ¼”) and ran it through the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. I then attempted to tear it at an angle. It might have been easier to tear it before putting into the Embossing Folder, but I left it as is. I glued this onto the DSP leaving an even border around the edges.
I stamped the “thank you” sentiment and the small leaf in Pretty Peacock on scrap Basic White cardstock and cut the sentiment with the third smallest circle dies from Stylish Shapes dies and the leaf I cut with the fifth smallest die from Textured Notes Dies.
I brushed Pretty Peacock ink around the edges of the rectangle die with what was left on the blending brush. I glued the rectangle on top of the corrugated pieces to the right-hand side and added the sentiment with dimensions just to the upper left corner of the rectangle.
I then wrapped the White ¼” ribbon about an inch from the bottom or so around these layers and tied a knot on the right side. To finish off the card front I added three of the large navy Neutral Matt Dots to the front. This seemed to draw in the shades of black and Pretty Peacock on the cards. This was then adhered to the card front with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
On the inside of the card, I stamped in 2nd generations the long wicker piece in the upper middle of the card and then over that using the Pretty Peacock ink stamped “You are seriously the best”.
Do you have a favourite example of card #4 template?
This time I struggle to pick a favourite. I do like each one of them for different reasons. I would like to create more of these cards and see how else I can vary the look of them with this suite. I will definitely have to incorporate the other DSP pack of Woven Textures.
I am glad to have added this to my collection of stamps, dies, embossing folder and DSP. Can I encourage you to give it a look?
Now go and check out how you can use this template with products you already have! Bless someone with a fun and cheery card for whatever occasion they are celebrating this month.
